Do you know what the Lymphatic System is?

 

It’s an extensive drainage network of delicate tubes throughout the body. It drains fluid (called lymph) that has leaked from the blood vessels into the tissues and empties it back into the bloodstream via the lymph nodes. It keeps the body’s fluid levels in balance, defends the body against infections and absorbs some of the fats in our diet from the intestine.

 

What is Manual Lymph Drainage?

 

Our Registered Massage Therapist, Jamie Waggoner, is a Certified Applied Manual Lymph Drainage therapist with the Dr. Vodder Academy/School – International, the gold standard and founders of manual lymph drainage. Lymphatic massage is a gentle form of massage that targets the flow of lymph in the body to drain excess fluid, by using a specific amount of pressure and rhythmic circular movements. Lymphatic massage has shown in studies to push up to 75% of stagnant lymph back into circulation. This mobilizes toxins for clearance, lessening the burden on the lymphatic system and improving the overall functioning of the lymphatic (immune) system.
